It is just scattered. You are drafting a follow-up in one tab, checking deal stage in another, and hunting for the last WhatsApp reply in a third. Pepper Cloud AssistAI closes that gap. It connects your Pepper Cloud CRM to ChatGPT, so ChatGPT can read and act on your records, activities, conversations, tickets, and quotations, without you leaving the chat. --- ## **What AssistAI can do** Once connected, you ask in plain language and ChatGPT calls AssistAI when your request needs CRM data. No commands to memorise, no exports, no switching tabs. **AssistAI can:** ● **Search, list, and show records** — leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities and deals, tickets, and quotations. ● **Create or update records and activities** — notes, tasks, calls, and events, once you provide the details. ● **Run counts, totals, and summaries** — pipeline totals, number of open tickets, and similar. Currencies are normalised when totalling opportunity amounts. ● **Surface recent activity on a record** — the latest note, the last task logged, and so on. ● **Create or update Xero quotations** and sync them, when your Xero account is linked. ● **Suggest assignees** and list the CRM users or integrations available in your account. Here is what that looks like across a typical SME team. ### **For sales reps** You live in follow-ups, and context is everything. ● *“Summarise my last conversation with Wei Ling and draft a follow-up message.”* ● *“What’s the status of the Acme deal, and what did we quote?”* ● *“Create a follow-up activity for the Acme deal for next Tuesday.”* Instead of scrolling a timeline before every call, you get the summary and the next action in one place. ### **For sales managers** You need the shape of the pipeline, not a full report. ● *“How many open deals do we have, and what’s the total pipeline value?”* ● *“Show me deals closing this month by owner.”* ● *“Who should I assign this new lead to?”* Totals across deals in different currencies are normalised for you, so a mixed SGD, MYR, and USD pipeline still gives you one number. Useful for standups, weekly reviews, and the 9pm “where are we actually landing this month” question. ### **For customer support teams** Tickets and conversations sit in the same place as the customer record. ● *“What tickets are open for this customer?”* ● *“Summarise this ticket thread so I can hand it over.”* ● *“Log a follow-up activity on this ticket for tomorrow.”* Handovers stop depending on whoever remembers the backstory. ### **For finance and quotations** If your Xero account is linked to Pepper Cloud CRM, quotations stay in the same conversation. ● *“What did we quote this customer last quarter?”* ● *“Create a quotation for the Acme deal and sync it to Xero.”* ● *“Update the quotation amount on this deal.”* --- ## **Supported records and permissions** AssistAI works only with the objects and actions available in your Pepper Cloud CRM, and always respects your existing user permissions, you will only ever see the data you are allowed to see in the CRM. Open ChatGPT. 2\. In a chat, click the + (tools) icon next to the message box, or go to Settings → Apps & Connectors. 3\. Search for Pepper Cloud AssistAI, or ask ChatGPT directly: “Connect to Pepper Cloud AssistAI.” ChatGPT will also suggest the app automatically when a request looks like it needs your CRM data. ### **Step 2: Install and sign in** 1\. Click Pepper Cloud AssistAI, then click Add (or Install). 2\. Review what the app can access, then confirm. 3\. You’ll be redirected to the Pepper Cloud CRM login page. 4\. Log in with your Pepper Cloud CRM credentials and the same ones you use for the CRM app. 5\. Approve the requested permissions. 6\. You’ll be redirected back to ChatGPT. AssistAI is now installed. *This is a standard OAuth 2.0 sign-in. Your CRM password is never shared with or stored by ChatGPT.* ### **Step 3: Use it in a chat** Turn the app on for the conversation via the tools + menu if it isn’t already enabled, then ask something that needs your CRM data, for example, “Show me how many open deals I have.” ChatGPT calls AssistAI automatically when it’s relevant, and confirms with you before making any change, such as creating or updating a record. --- ## **Using AssistAI: What it looks like** Below are the three most common ways teams use AssistAI day to day. Each begins with a plain-language prompt — no special syntax required. ### **1\. Ask a question (read)** Turn on AssistAI, type a question about your CRM data, and press enter. AssistAI retrieves the records and returns the answer inline. ### **2\. Create or update a record** Ask AssistAI to make a change. It shows you the proposed change first and waits for your confirmation before writing anything back to the CRM. ### **3\. Work with quotations** With Xero linked, you can draft and sync quotations without leaving the chat. ### **What AssistAI won’t do** Clear boundaries matter as much as capability: ● It only uses data and actions available in your CRM. It does not guess, infer, or invent information it cannot retrieve. ● It does not expose raw internal IDs or system and debug details. ● It asks instead of assuming. If a request is missing something — a contact name, an amount, a date — AssistAI asks for those specific fields before acting. ● It confirms before it writes. ChatGPT checks with you before creating or updating any record. --- ## Data, privacy, an**d compliance** AssistAI is built so you stay in control of your CRM data at every step. ● **Secure, standard sign-in:** Connection uses OAuth 2.0\. Your Pepper Cloud CRM password is never shared with or stored by ChatGPT, and you can revoke access at any time from ChatGPT’s Apps & Connectors settings. ● **Your permissions are respected:** AssistAI can only access the records and actions your CRM user account is allowed to — it does not widen anyone’s access. If you cannot see a record in the CRM, you cannot see it through AssistAI. ● **You approve every change:** AssistAI never deletes data, and it confirms with you before creating or updating any record. ● **Only what you ask for is shared:** AssistAI retrieves data on demand to answer a specific request. It does not bulk-export your database or copy your customer lists. ● **Data handling on the ChatGPT side:** Once data is retrieved into ChatGPT, how it is retained and whether it is used to improve models is governed by your OpenAI/ChatGPT plan and settings. On Team, Business, and Enterprise plans, connector data is not used to train models. On consumer plans (Free, Plus, Pro) you can opt out of model training in your ChatGPT settings. Review OpenAI’s data controls and privacy policy for the specifics of your plan. ● **Regulatory compliance (PDPA & GDPR):** Pepper Cloud processes personal data in line with Singapore’s PDPA and the EU GDPR. AssistAI does not change how Pepper Cloud handles your data — that is set out in our privacy policy. Because your prompts and results also pass through ChatGPT, you should evaluate OpenAI’s terms as part of your own compliance assessment before enabling the connector for regulated data.
